The
Problem: |
Asphalt
Weathers and degrades quickly
Harsh
UV energy from the sun oxidizes the surface asphalt producing a
chalk-like residue.
Rain
leaches plasticizers to the asphalt surface where the sun oxidizes
them leaving the asphalt brittle, susceptible to cracking, alligatoring
and seam failures.
Water
penetrates the asphalt membrane through cracks, saturating the scrim
or felt and producing dimensional change from freeze/thaw and swell/shrink
cycles, creating blisters, cracks and leaks.
Black
oxidated asphalt exhibits surface temperature over 160 degrees F.

Solutions: |
COOL
Elastomeric
coating is applied and it's 84% reflectivity reduces energy cost
and the damage caused to asphalt roofs by UV rays.
RESTORE
Repair
blisters, cracks and leaks with fabric, caulk and elastomeric coating.
PROTECT
Existing
asphalt is protected against the aging process with Webcon's highly
reflective elastomeric coatings.
Permanently
blocks out the UV, protecting the asphalt surface from the sun.
Produces
water-resistant barrier.
LOW COST
Repair
of cracks, blisters and seams is fast and economical. Elastomeric
coatings are easily spray or roller applied and require little maintenance.
Adaptable
to nearly every type of asphalt membrane. Restoration
costs can be expensed as a repair or maintenance, while re-roof
costs must be capitalized.
Restoring
the existing roof may be as little as 25% of the total tear-off
and replacement cost.
